TUESDAY, JUNE 21

Quote of the Day: “Detectives would like to talk to this man and determine if the victim may have made any dying statements. Also, the family would like to thank him for (the) care and comfort he provided to Sean.” A June 17 Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office statement asking a Good Samaritan to come forward in the slaying of Sean Michael Buchanan in Regency Square Mall May 30. The unknown man gave aid and comfort to the dying 26-year-old dad.

  • Brandon High School Alumni / June 21 / Noon / Golden Corral Restaurant, 815 Providence Road / Brandon High School graduates meet every other month at the Golden Corral to catch up on old times and recount high school memories. Classes from all decades invited. The luncheon is held the third Tuesday of even-numbered months, except in December, when the gathering meets the first Tuesday of the month.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22

Quote of the Day: “Deblock stated it was easy to get into cars because one out of five vehicles he checked were left unlocked.”  A Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office report on the arrest of Morgan Deblock who, detectives said, admitted to at least 100 auto burglaries and at least 500 attempted burglaries in the Greater Brandon area.

The 19-year-old graduate of Brandon High School had a 4-month-old daughter, Savannah.
