'Wallet-Wise Watering Tips' for Florida-Friendly Landscaping

Registration is open for a March seminar on Florida-Friendly Landscaping, presented by the Hillsborough County Extension office in Seffner.

 

Due to popular demand, Hillsborough County Extension Service is offering a Florida-Friendly Landscaping 101 seminar to teach residents wallet-wise watering tips. This free seminar will take place on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Hillsborough Community College-Dale Mabry Campus, 4001 Tampa Bay Blvd. in Tampa.

Participants will learn how to select high color, drought tolerant, and low maintenance plants to use as turfgrass alternatives. They will also hear from University of Florida IFAS and Hillsborough County Extension Service horticulturists on such topics as:
