Westbound Selmon Expressway Back To 2 Lanes

Commuters and holiday travelers this week saw two lanes open, not one, on a portion of the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway that had been limited since Dec. 14, 2011.

 

In time for the holidays, westbound travelers on the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway will once again be using two lanes.

The "good news for commuters and holiday travelers" was announced by John McShaffrey, a spokesperson for the Florida Department of Transportation, in a report Nov. 19.

That's the day the westbound Selmon Expressway (State Road 618) opened "to two lanes once again," from just west of Morgan Street (Exit 7) to the Brorein Street entrance ramp. One lane had been closed since Dec. 14.
