Here’s what you need to know:

THE NAVIGATION BAR

At the top of the screen we have renamed, for clarity, the tabs that direct you to Brandon Patch features. (You'll note as well a change in color, from Patch green to sky blue.)

  • “Places” is now Directory. Here you will continue to find our extensive listings of businesses sorted by topic, such as Arts & Entertaiment, Community Resources, Food & Dining and Sports and Fitness.

  • “Traffic & Gas” is now Commute. Click here to get a low-down on some of the cheapest gas prices locally.

  • “Gallery” is now Pics & Clips. Upload photos of your times in the community with family, friends, colleagues and neighbors. Spot something interesting? Share it with your neighbors.

  • “More” is now More Stuff. Sounds friendlier and, as always, directs you to additional interests, such as jobs and volunteer opportunities.
  • To start a keyword search, click the magnifying glass icon in the far-right corner of the navigation bar. Enter your keywords in the space noted, then click “date” to search chronologically from the most recent content posted.

OTHER CHANGES

  • Weather details have been moved to the right-hand side of the Brandon Patch header. There, as usual, you’ll find a graphic detailing the highlights of the day, including high and low temperatures. Drag your cursor over the spot to get additional details, including forecasts for the next six days.

  • Today’s Events will replace the comments stream in the far-right column of the homepage. In addition to current listings, you can browse community calendar items for the days ahead. As always, you can post your own events as well.

  • The comment stream — What People Are Saying — has been moved to the center spot at the top of the homepage. Here we showcase comments made to the content we post. Nestled here as well are links to post Pics & Clips and Events, and to Start a Blog.
