Who Won the B. Lee Elam Golf Outing?

Three teams placed at the July 1 B. Lee Elam Golf Outing at the Bloomingdale Golf Club, a fundraiser for the longtime attorney's charity race for honorary mayor of Brandon, a title that will be determined just before the start of the 4th of July parade.

 

Three teams took home awards at the B. Lee Elam Golf Outing fundraiser for the longtime attorney's bid for honorary mayor of Brandon, a title that will go to the "candidate" who raises the most money for selected charities by the start of the Greater Brandon Fourth of July Parade, presented by the town's Community Roundtable.

The scores ranged from 62 to 81, with two teams tying at 76, just one point shy of the winning score for third place.

The day of golf, at the Bloomingdale Golf Club, was played under scorching heat, but that didn't deter from the committed golfers' determination to beat the links.

As one golfer put it: "They haven't made a day too hot for golf yet."
