Estadio Verizon at Westfield Brandon

Verizon wants to help consumers who are avid
soccer fans and are eagerly waiting to watch the biggest stage for
international soccer matches this summer in Brazil enjoy the full experience of
the games’ grandest event
-- all from the comfort of their home.

In preparation for the 64 international matches
(June 12 to July 13) in Brazil, Verizon will host five shopping mall events for
soccer fans that place visitors in a stadium atmosphere featuring an
interactive soccer game, customized stadium scoreboard, trivia games and
soccer-themed Plinko board to win Verizon prizes, including many with soccer
themes such as a jersey.

The mall tour, hosted by bilingual Verizon
representatives, will highlight Verizon’s flagship FiOS
services including both FiOS TV and FiOS Internet. This weekend’s second
“Estadio Verizon” (Verizon Stadium) event takes place Saturday and Sunday
afternoons (May 17, 18) at the Westfield Brandon mall in Tampa.  It follows the initial event last weekend at

Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst, NY.

During the next three weekends, more “Estadio Verizon” events
will occur at shopping malls in Irving, Texas outside Dallas; Wheaton, Maryland
north of Washington, DC; and Downey, California southeast of Los Angeles.

Within the soccer-themed display, visitors can
learn about Verizon’s video offerings including its La Conexión and Spanish Language Packages that
offer customized content for Hispanics and others who seek more
Spanish-language programming.

Given the popularity of soccer among Hispanics
in the United States (the 2010 pinnacle of soccer tournaments on Univision was
watched by 72 percent of all Hispanics ages 18-49), Verizon will use its Somos Verizon FiOS Facebook
page and @SomosFiOS Twitter handle to let customers know that when they are
connected with Verizon, any seat in a home becomes a grandstand, and will also
offer a variety of ways to register and win soccer-related prizes prior to the
Big Games in Brazil.

Given that the international soccer tournament
takes place every four years and is the second biggest athletic viewing event
in the world for Hispanics, Verizon will showcase ways customers can enjoy the
matches on FiOS TV, plus provide details about a free preview of its Spanish Language Package taking
place through May 18.

For new Verizon FiOS TV customers, the Spanish
Language Package is currently offered at 50 percent of its normal monthly price
of $14.99 per month.
