The Life Enrichment Center is registering now for an evening art class, Painting in Acrylics & Oils.  In this class, students will learn the basics of oil or acrylic painting.  Perspective, color, mixing, blending and brush control will be explored.   This class will expand your artistic knowledge and skills.  Students of all levels are welcome.

Painting in Acrylics & Oils will be held on Wednesday evenings, from February 13th through March 20, 2013, from 6:30 p.m.—8:30 p.m.    Classes meet at the Life Enrichment Center, 9704 North Boulevard, Tampa.  Cost for the 6-week course is $75.00 for members of the Life Enrichment Center or $90 for non-members. Annual membership to the Life Enrichment Center starts at $30.

The course will be taught by well-known artist and instructor, Tim Gibbons.  Mr. Gibbons graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in Humanities and has been teaching art classes for more than 30 years.  His philosophy in teaching art is “10% skill, which any student can learn, no matter what their age, and 90% creativity.” His goal is to provide his students with the techniques, skills and inspiration to further appreciate and create a lifelong love and understanding of art in their everyday life.

Class size is limited and requires advance registration.  To register or for more information about this or other Life Enrichment Center classes, call (813) 932-0241 or visit their web site at www.lifeenrichmenttampa.org.

Great article and Live Enrichment is indeed a wonderful class! Tim is known for all the fun he injects into his classes, as well as his skills as an instructor. Students not only learn, but its a great socially active place...lots of fun, laughter, discussion, and yes, everyone learns and loves to do art!
