School Board Mtg: 15 Hidden CORPORATE Donors & you can't speak!

This Tuesday, in advance of the 2014 election, the incumbent school board is recognizing 15 generous corporate donors and they apparently don’t want you to know who they are. It is item 22 on the agenda and like the administrative appointments that they never declare in advance, these donors are also un-named in the school board agenda. Despite the fact that it is a RECOGNITION meeting, the school board is NOT recognizing these corporate donors in their agenda so that you can know who they are. Perhaps they do not want other school board candidates to find out who these donors are; sounds just like congress. Plus- YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED to speak at a school board recognition meeting. So if you have a problem with the school board NOT telling you who these corporate donors are and what exactly the relationship is, well- that is just too bad. For example- reference our article “Overt Campaigning and Covert Campaigning in Hillsborough

Public Schools
”. Maybe the Tampa Bay Times is one of the secret corporate donors. Do you wonder if the Times’ school board coverage will be decidedly one-sided on the ramp up to the 2014 election?

Your school board keeps you in the dark. Why would you re-elect these crooks?
