See For Yourself Why Rotary's Camp Florida Matters

You've got challenges? A spunky, bald-headed camper talks about her trials, "chemo, pain and nauseousness," but also about her great time at Rotary's Camp Florida in Brandon. View this, and you'll want to help.

Search online for information about Rotary's Camp Florida in Brandon and you'll find the link to a video just shy of 11 minutes that brings to light the passion, joy and heart that underlies the effort to ensure that children with special needs and challenges enjoy a regular camp experience.

"My challenge is chemo, pain, nauseousness, that's my challenge," says a bald-headed camper named Kayla. "At Rotary's Camp Florida I know a lot of friends. I will come to Rotary's Camp Florida again."

That sentiment is shared by many, and is the driving force behind a statewide Rotary effort to ensure that in this secluded area of Brandon, off a lake and nestled between grand oak trees, this special camp for special needs children continues to grow and prosper.

The attached video shows the draw of a "year-round facility for children with special needs and challenges to enjoy and appreciate nature, play together, make friends, create memories and learn, master and share their challenges so they can grow in character, self-confidence and determination."

And isn't that what camp is all about.
