Every year, military pride helps kick off the Fourth of July parade in Brandon, which this year included as well a Vietnam War helicopter.


According to this year's parade lineup, spectators got to see floats and units, walkers and riders, from the following military minded entries:

  • U.S. Coast Guard
  • U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
  • Hillsborough County Veterans Museum
  • AMVETS Post 44
  • Amputee Veterans of America Support Team (AVAST)
  • Vietnam Veterans of America - Chapter 787
  • The Marine Corps League Detachment 1226
  • Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association of Florida
  • Disabled American Veterans - Chapter 83
  • Gen. Jubal A. Early Camp 556 - Sons of Confederate Veterans
  • American Legion Post 278
  • Augusta Jane Evans Wilson - Chapter 2640, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Judah P. Benjamin Camp 2210
  • Yaeger Cadet Squadron, Civil Air Patrol
  • USO Tampa Bay
