Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center Marks 50 Years with a Special Celebration
This Saturday, April 20, the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center celebrates 50 years of partnering with the greater Brandon community.
A special commemoration ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. at the facility this Saturday during its 2013 Extreme Summer Camp Open House (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.)
Emceed by Ernest Hooper of the Tampa Bay Times and with special presentations from Brandon Honorary Mayor Gay Lynn Love, County Commissioner Al Higginbotham and the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, BSAC will honor some of its original charter members and announce upcoming plans.

Executive Director Chuck Burgess states, "While we are honoring the past, we are very excited to share BSAC's vision for the future with the community".
Square 1 Burgers in Brandon will be there manning the grill and DJ Robert Horning and Action Promos and Events will be providing games and entertainment, with open swim for the public from 2 to 5 p.m.
