A Brandon man is facing multiple charges after breaking into The Car Store in Seffner and threatening employees.
Corey Dyal, 26, of 1315 Borden Rd., Brandon, is charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, burglary of a business, felony criminal mischief and discharging a firearm in public.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Dyal went to The Car Store at 804 E. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Seffner, at 8:39 a.m. Friday, March 1 to see a friend who owns the business.
Once there, witnesses say Dyal started to act strange. He pulled a knife on his friend outside in back of the business and shot a gun several times. He then armed himself with a shovel and threatened an employee and used the shovel to break the windows of several cars in the business' lot, witnesses told sheriff's deputies.
The employees fled out the front door of the business when Dyal kicked in the back door.
Deputies arrived at which time Dyal threatened to harm himself. The deputies were able to take him into custody without incident.
