Brandon Woman Arrested in Prescription Pill Case

Tampa Police reports that a Brandon woman and Tampa man have been arrested in case that involved a Tampa man attempting to purchase illegeal prescription pills with his two young children in tow.

A Brandon woman has been charged with strong-armed robbery in the case of a Tampa man who reportedly took his two young children with him to purchase  prescription pills that had not been prescribed, according to a Tampa police report.

Authorities say Jonathan Kelly met up with an old high school friend at Interbay and Westshore boulevards around 10:25p.m. Saturday night to purchase the pills. Kelly was in the car with his 1-year-old and 4- year-old children when authorities say Tiffany Miller, of Brandon, and Jessie Nassicotte, of Tampa, approached.

But instead of handing over drugs, the two demanded Kelly give up his money while striking him in the face, according to the report.

Miller and Nassicotte reportedly stole $60 from Kelly and then fled the scene in a gray Toyota. Kelly called the police to report the robbery and provided officers with a description of the vehicle in which his assailants fled.

Tampa Police officers arrested Miller and Nassicotte at South Quincy Street and West Ballast Point. The two have been charged with strong-armed robbery. Kelly reportedly was later arrested and charged with two counts of child neglect.
