Detectives Need Help Identifying Suspects in Brandon K-Mart Theft (VIDEO)

The male and female suspects robbed the K-Mart at 1602 W. Brandon Blvd.

Detectives are asking for help in identifying two people who robbed a Brandon store last month.

The incident happened Oct. 28 at , 1602 W. Brandon Blvd., at approximately 9:08 p.m. when two unidentified suspects were seen in a store surveillance video approaching the K-Mart customer service counter to make a purchase.

The clerk at the counter directed the suspects to an open register, and both suspects then walked to a checkout aisle and stood there briefly, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The male suspect then paced back and forth between the checkout counter and the checkout line until he finally stopped and grabbed a banded stack of money beside the cash register at the customer service desk. The suspects fled the store with the cash.

The suspects are described as:

  • Black male, 20-25 years of age, 5-foot-6, approximately 180 pounds. Last seen wearing a red baseball cap, white T-shirt with a design on the front and blue jeans.
  • Black female, 20-25 years of age, 5 feet tall, approximately 120 pounds. Last seen wearing a black and white striped shirt.


Anyone with information related to either of these thefts is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200. To be eligible for a cash , with information that leads to an arrest, call at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). You can also report anonymously online or text “CSTB” along with your tip to C-R-I-M-E-S (274637).
