Dover Resident Charged in Child Porn Investigation

A 25-year-old Dover resident is facing 30 counts of possession of child pornography for downloading explicit photos of children on his computer.

Christopher Ryan Bane of 15210 Robert Bane Dr., Dover, was arrested Friday, Feb. 24, after the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office Internet Predator Unit conducted a search warrant at his home.

During the search, detectives seized Bane's laptop computer and found
explicit sexual images and videos involving children between the ages of 2
and 12 years old engaged in oral sex, anal sex and bondage.

During questioning, Bane admitted to downloading the images and was later
charged with 30 counts of possession of child pornography. His charges were
upgraded to a second-degree felony because many of the explicit images were of victims younger than 5 years old.

Bane was arrested at his home without incident and is being held at the
Hillsborough County Jail on a $225,000 dollar bond.

The investigation is continuing.
