Missing Plant City Teen Might Be in Georgia

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies say the girl left her home on Tuesday morning.

Mirse Huerta, 13, left her Plant City home around 1 a.m. on Tuesday and hasn’t been seen since.

That’s why Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies are enlisting the public’s help in trying to find her.

Huerta is believed to be driving an unknown make and model red pickup truck, said Cristal Bermudez Nunez, sheriff’s office spokeswoman. The teen is described as being about 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Bermudez Nunez said Huerta was born in Mexico and might be trying to get back there. Her mother, however, would very much like to have her back home in Plant City. At this point, deputies believe the teen might be somewhere in Georgia, Bermudez Nunez added.

Anyone with information about the teen is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office at 813-247-8200.
