Mobil Clerk Battered in Valrico, Armed Robbers Sought

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is on the lookout for two men who brandished guns at a Mobil gas station and convenience store on State Road 60 in Valrico. A 28-year-old clerk was treated there for a head wound. The robbers wore masks.

 

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying the two men who battered a Mobil convenience store clerk in Valrico on Sept. 5.

According to the sheriff's report, the clerk, Jun Teddy Wu, 28, suffered a laceration on the side of his head, which was treated at the scene. The injury was sustained after two men brandished guns at the store after confronting Wu at the kiosk outside the Mobil gas station and convenience store at 2510 East State Road 60 in Valrico.

The battery reportedly happened after the men realized there was no money in the cash register. They then fled northwest on foot.

The two armed robbers wore loose-fitting white masks, according to the report.

To aid in the identification of the men, the following descriptions have been reported:

  • Male, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, 150 pounds, medium build, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black gloves with yellow knuckles and dark pants.
  • Male, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-9, 150 pounds, medium build, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, dark pants and shoes.

Anyone who can help identify the masked armed robbers is asked to call the
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office at 813-247-8200. Anyone who
