Police Search for Possible Witnesses in Hollywood Nites Murder
A surveillance video captured people who might have information regarding the incident.
Tampa Police detectives are trying to track down the people in a surveillance video who might have information regarding the shooting and murder that took place at Hollywood Nites early Saturday morning.
“They were close to the victim at the time of the murder and we need them to help us with this case,” a media release states.

On Saturday at about 2:10 a.m., a fight broke out inside Hollywood Nites, 3005 N. Howard Ave. The strip club’s security guards made everyone leave, police said. Once outside, shots were fired in the parking lot and the two men were struck.
Wayne T. Lanier, 21, of 929 E. Henderson Ave. in Tampa, later died at Tampa General Hospital.

Omar R. Bacon, 26, of 701 Providence Trace Circle in Brandon, was treated at St. Joseph’s Hospital and released.
The homicide investigation is active at this time, police said.
