Silver Alert Lifted; Valrico Man Found in Bradenton

Ralston Willesley Dunkley had been missing since May 13. His whereabouts were reported by the Florida Highway Patrol officer responding to a minor traffic crash.

The Silver Alert has been lifted for a Valrico man who was idenfitied after a minor traffic crash in Bradenton late last night, May 13.

An officer with the Florida Highway Patrol reported Ralston Willesley Dunkley had been found after discovering during a minor traffic crash that the septuagenarian had been listed as missing and endangered.

Dunkley was taken to Lakewood Ranch Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries from the crash and awaiting the arrival of his family to take him back home, according to a May 14 early morning report from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Dunkley, 73, of 408 Gardenwood Place, reportedly left his home about 9 a.m. May 13 and was believed to be heading to Pinellas County to renew his vehicle registration.

According to an early evening report later that day,  Dunkley had indeed renewed his license at a tag office in St. Petersburg but had not been seen or heard from since.

According to Dunkley’s family, he was diagnosed recently with the early onset of dementia. He also had been taking medication for other health issues.
