Suspected Thieves Caught on Tape at Regency Square Beauty Store

Detectives seek help in identifying a trio of people suspected in the theft of about $580 in merchandise from a beauty store at the Regency Square shopping center in Brandon.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports that the search is on for two white, Hispanic females and a white, Hispanic male, who on July 9, at 7:45 p.m., entered the ULTA Beauty store at 2442 West Brandon Blvd.

According to the report, the man was carrying a bag, which he set down at the front counter. The trio proceeded to a display, where they placed items in shopping bags. They then split up and walked in different directions, with the females taking turns going in and out of the bathroom.

The male then retrieved his bag from the front counter and all three left the store without making a purchase.

Recovered later from the restroom's trash bins were packaging from eight pieces of merchandise, collectively valued at $577, according to the sheriff's report.

“The suspects can be seen putting items in a white bag in another surveillance video,” said sheriff’s office spokesperson Debbie Carter. “Another video shows the suspects going in and out of the bathroom.”

One woman is described as having a large build and brown hair; the second, as having a medium build and brown hair.
