Thonotosassa Man Arrested In Suspected Sexual Battery
Russell Franklin is charged with sexual battery and unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
A Thonotosassa man is facing sexual battery and unlawful sexual contact with a minor charges after he was arrested in Tampa June 29.
Russell Franklin, 40, of 9413 Eastfield Road, was picked up by Hillsborough County Warrant detectives, Tampa Police Officers and the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.
According to detectives, the alleged incident occurred June 17 at 4 a.m. when the suspected victim was at home watching a movie with another female and Franklin.

The suspected victim, a 17-year-old female, fell asleep on the couch and was awakened by the Franklin who then allegedly sexually battered the victim and then left the residence.
Franklin is known to the other female that was in the house at the time.
