Video of Deputy Who Worked To Save Men From Sinkhole
Deputy Douglas Duvall responded to the sink hole in Seffner last night.
A 36-year-old man was sleeping Thursday night, Feb 28. when a sinkhole opened up beneath his home and swallowed him into the ground below, according to Hillsborough County Fire Rescue officials.
Officials have been searching the 50-foot sinkhole for signs of life, but have not found any evidence the man is alive, but are not yet assuming that he has died.
The home has been condemned by code enforcement and it has been decided that it is unsafe for crews to continue working at the scene at 240 Faithway Drive in Seffner.
