Video Shows Armed Robbery of Seffner Chinese Restaurant, Detectives Say

Three suspects are seen on video robbing the New China Restaurant on West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying suspects seen robbing a Seffner Chinese restaurant on surveillance video.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday afternoon released the video, which they say shows three suspects, two carrying handguns, robbing the New China Restaurant, 775 W. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., around 10:47 p.m. on May 26.

The video shows the three suspects enter the restaurant just before closing and demanding money out of the cash drawer. The suspects fled on foot with an undislcosed amount of cash, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson.

The three suspects are each described as black men in their late teens or 20s, about 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, and weighing 140 to 150 pounds with a medium build.

One suspect had medium-length, black hair and was wearing a light purple bandana and purple tank top, the sheriff's office said.

Another suspect was wearing a purple hoodie, purple tank top and beige shorts.

The third suspect wore a black hoodie, purple T-shirt and black-and-white sports gloves.

Anyone with any information about the suspects is asked to call the sheriff's office at 813-247-8200.
