Woman Seen on Surveillance Stealing TV From Hotel Room, Detectives Say

The suspect is shown on video footage taking more than $700 of items out of a Greater Brandon area hotel room, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office reports.

Detectives are looking for a woman who they say was caught on surveillance video stealing a television and other items from a Greater Brandon area hotel room that is under renovation.

The video footage shows the woman checking several doors as she walks down the hallway of Sabal Suites, 10007 Princess Palm Ave., in Tampa on the morning of March 21. The woman is seen taking several trips out of the room with the TV and other items such as the bedspread, picture frames, iron with ironing board, rugs, trash can and curtains, officials said.

The total amount of the stolen items is estimated to be more than $700, according to Debbie Carter, spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The suspect is described as a woman between 22 and 29 years old, about 125 pounds and 5-foot-7, with medium complexion and long brown hair in a ponytail. She is seen on tape wearing a blue tank top and blue shorts.

Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to call the sheriff's office at 813-247-8200.
