County to Offer Seminars on Vision and Aging

In honor of Save Your Vision Month in March, Hillsborough County's Division of Aging Services is hosting seminars at the Brandon and Progress Village Senior Centers.

Are you choosing the large-print books and squinting at the nutrition facts on the cereal box?

If so, you may want to consider attending this month's events hosted by Hillsborough County's Division of Aging Services.

In celebration of March as Save Your Vision Month, Aging Services is holding special “See Well For A Lifetime” events at its Nutrition and Senior Centers. All are open to Hillsborough County residents age 50 and over.

A licensed nurse practitioner will conduct a presentation titled See Well For A Lifetime: An Educational Series on Vision and Aging. Topics will include Making Vision a Health Priority, Age-Related Eye Diseases and Conditions, and Low Vision.

These presentations were developed by the National Council on Aging and the Healthy Aging Interest Group of the Society for Public Health Education.

The seminars will take place at the Brandon Senior Center, 612 N. Parsons Ave. in Brandon, Monday, March 25, 10:30 a.m, and at the Progress Village Senior Center, 8701 Progress Blvd. in Tampa, Wednesday, March 27, 11 a.m.
