Lee Roy Selmon Expressway Closings and Detours Through Oct. 2

News to know for motorists navigating the Lee Roy Selmon Expressway as Interstate 4 connector work continues.

Closures with detours are scheduled for the Selmon Expressway (State Road 618) as listed below. Updated schedule changes will be posted at myTBI.com.

Detours will be in place for the lower levels between Exit 9 (22nd Street) and Exit 11 (50th Street). Also, the Reversible Express Lanes (REL) entrance at Meridian Avenue might not be open for several nights, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Through 5 a.m. Sept. 30 -- Eastbound, westbound and REL closed.
  • From 8 p.m. Sept. 30 through 5 p.m. Oct. 2 -- Westbound closed.
  • From 8 p.m. Sept. 30 through 10 a.m. Oct. 1 -- Eastbound closed

EASTBOUND DETOUR

  • All eastbound traffic will be directed off the Selmon Expressway at Exit 9 (21st and 22nd streets), detoured east on State Road 60 (Adamo
    Drive), then back onto the expressway using the 50th Street entrance ramp. Tolls during detour hours will be suspended only for exiting the eastbound Selmon Expressway at 22nd Street.

DETOUR FOR REVERSIBLE EXPRESS LANES

  • The first opportunity for eastbound drivers to enter the REL from the lower level of the Selmon Expressway will be at the slip ramp just west of U.S. 301.

WESTBOUND DETOUR

  • All westbound traffic will be directed off the Selmon Expressway at Exit 11 (50th Street), detoured west on State Road 60 (Adamo Drive), then back on to the Expressway using the 21st and 22nd streets entrance ramp.
  • Again, tolls will be suspended for entering the westbound Selmon at 22nd Street during the detour hours only.
