Obama for America Draws Crowd to Winthrop (Photos)

Tickets were distributed June 19 at the Obama for Florida office at Winthrop, where a large crowd gathered for a chance to see President Barack Obama live at a grassroots event June 22 at the Dale Mabry campus of Hillsborough Community College.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to deliver remarks at a grassroots event June 22 in the gymnasium of the Dale Mabry campus of Hillsborough Community College in Tampa.

Tickets were distributed June 19, beginning at 5 p.m., at five Obama for America offices, including the office that opened in Winthrop on May 2. The Riverview office was the 25th office to open in Florida, and the second to open in Hillsborough County.

It opened with meeting rooms to address the needs of residents from Brandon and Valrico, Plant City, Riverview and SouthShore.

Winthrop is at the southeastern corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Providence Road. The Obama for America Office is just east of Regions Bank, and west of the Winthrop events complex, including the Winthrop Pole Barn and the Barn Theatre of Winthrop.

The Obama for America office at Winthrop is open six days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and closed on Sundays.
