Potential RaceTrac at Kings Ave. and Lumsden Road Debated

There are already two other gas stations near that intersection.

The building of a RaceTrac gas station on the corner of Kings Ave. and Lumsden Road in Brandon is stalled over an issue regarding the destruction of a wetland area.

There are already two other gas stations near that intersection. A Mobil sits on the northeast corner and a Citgo is just south of the intersection on Kings Ave.

On Monday, Feb. 18 the issue was back before Zoning Hearing Master Steve Luce. According to an article on TBO.com:

“Zoning Hearing Master Steve Luce had already recommended against the rezoning once because of the wetlands. But this time, he had orders from Hillsborough commissioners not to hear discussion of the wetland issue, which is under appeal with the Environmental Protection Commission.”

What do you think, should they RaceTrac be built at that location? Does the intersection need another gas station?
