Trayvon Martin’s Parents To Speak Out on ’Stand Your Ground’ Law

The National Bar Association reportedly is sponsoring an event at Beulah Baptist International Church in Tampa, at which Trayvon Martin's parents were to be part of a forum.

 

The National Bar Association is sponsoring an event at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church in Tampa, according to an article on TBO.com. Trayvon Martin's parents will be speaking at the event, which is free and open to the public.

Martin was shot and killed on Feb. 26, in Sanford. The case has sparked a lot of conversation around the "Stand Your Ground" law as well as Neighborhood Watch programs.

Brandon Patch and Bloomingdale-Riverview Patch have posted a report on a Valrico woman who wants a change in Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law. Her husband was shot and killed during an argument with skateboarders at the Twin Lakes of Brandon community off Bloomingdale Avenue in Valrico.
