UPDATE: 2012 General Election Early Voting Totals (Oct. 30)

The latest early voting totals in Hillsborough County, through Oct. 30, for the 2012 General Election. Early voting is under way through Nov. 3 at 15 sites, including at the Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center in the Greater Brandon area.

 

More than one-third of the early votes cast in the first four days of early voting in Hillsborough County have been cast in the southeastern part of the county, according to figures released from the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office.

As of Oct. 30, at 8:12 p.m., 26,043 early votes were cast collectively at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center, SouthShore Library, Riverview Branch Library and Bruton Memorial Library, in Plant City. Those votes accounted for 35 percent of the 74,559 votes cast.

Early voting for the 2012 General Election started Oct. 27 and runs through Saturday, Nov. 3. Early voting is at 15 county locations, including two in the Greater Brandon area:

  • Bloomingdale Regional Library, 1906 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, 33596
  • Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center / 2514 North Falkenburg Road., Tampa, 33619

Those two sites alone accounted for 15 percent of the early votes cast through Oct. 30 (see chart below).

Early voting is from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., over-the-counter, vote-by-mail ballots are available at the four supervisor of elections offices:

  • Robert L. Gilder Elections Service Center, 2514 North Falkenburg Road, Tampa, 33619
  • Fred B. Karl County Center (16th Floor), 601 East Kennedy Blvd., Tampa, 33602
  • Supervisor of Elections South Office, 10439 Gibsonton Drive, Riverview, 33578
  • Supervisor of Elections Northwest Office, 12022 Anderson Road, Tampa, 33625

To cast an early vote, valid photo and signature identification is required. Examples of acceptable valid photo ID's include:

  • Florida Driver's License
  • Florida ID card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military ID
  • Student ID
  • Retirement Center ID
  • Neighborhood Association ID
  • Public Assistance ID
