Brandon Football: Eagles at Home Against Plant City High (Oct. 26)

The Brandon High Eagles, coming off their first season victory last week, hope to make it two wins with their contest tonight, Oct. 26, against the Plant City Raiders. (Meanwhile, the Armwood Hawks travel to Plant High to face the Panthers while the Durant Cougars travel to East Bay with hopes to extend Durant's undefeated season.)  

Brandon faces Plant City (3-4 overall, 1-2 in league play), ranked nationally and in the state at 4,796 and 276, respectively, according to MaxPreps.com.

Plant City beat Freedom (14-9), Gaither (23-21) and Riverview (34-14).  The Raiders lost to Strawberry Crest (7-21), Durant (7-22), Alonso (10-27) and East Bay (12-24).

The Eagles (1-6 overall, 1-2 in league play) are ranked 6,987 in the nation and 359 in the state, according to MaxPreps.com. 

Brandon's six losses were to Armwood, Freedom, Durant, Sickles, Newsome and Plant (see chart below). The Eagles first regular season win came at the hands of the Riverview Sharks.

Tonight's Oct. 26 contest against the Raiders is scheduled to kick off 7:30 p.m. at Brandon High School, 1101 Victoria St.
