GFWC Brandon Junior Woman's Club Awards 2 Student Scholarships

Essays on their "most rewarding volunteer experience" help earn two graduating seniors, from Armwood High School and East Bay High, scholarships from the GFWC Brandon Junior Woman's Club. Each scholarship was for $500.

The GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club awarded two $500 scholarships in April.  

More than 30 applications were received. Applicants were scored on their 500-word essay on their most rewarding volunteer experience, community service, college goals and letters of recommendation. 

Kendal Sierra MacDonald and Tori Wilson were selected to receive scholarships.

MacDonald from East Bay High School will attend the University of Pennsylvania. Her goal is to become a nurse anesthetist.

Wilson from Armwood High School will attend the University of Florida. Her goal is to become a physician’s assistant.
