HCC Scores High on Mid-Year Accreditation Review

Hillsborough Community College reports "the strongest possible outcome" on its fifth-year interim review from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.

Hillsborough Community College (HCC) has received confirmation from the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) that the college was found in compliance with the 17 select standards of the Principles of Accreditation as a component of its fifth-year interim review, according to school officials.

Their report notes that the review occurs at the mid-point between 10-year cycles of full reaffirmation of accreditation. The Committee on Fifth-Year Interim Reports reportedly requested no additional reporting, which is the strongest possible outcome for HCC’s continuing compliance with core requirements and comprehensive standards expected of accredited higher education institutions.
