Main Event: Strongman Steve Carrier at Kings Avenue Baptist Church

Steve Carrier is a motivational speaker who brings his message to schools nationwide. His stint tonight, March 15, is at Kings Avenue Baptist Church in Brandon.

How strong is Strongman Steve Carrier of Mega Force? See for yourself at Kings Avenue Baptist Church in Brandon tonight and tomorrow, March 15-16, where “the nationally renowned motivational and school assembly speaker” is set to perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

“The choices you make today can and will affect you for the rest of your life,” Carrier says in a video clip on his Web site.

Carrier’s resume includes stints on ESPN, “Ripley’s Believe It or Not!” and Steve Harvey’s “Big Time.”

In all, Carrier was set to perform four nights for free at Kings Avenue Baptist, where a “love offering” donation is accepted. His first two performances were March 13-14.

According to promotional materials, “Steve, at an early age, was born crippled, having to wear braces on his legs in order to walk, and was told by professionals he would ‘never walk again.’ ”

With faith, he did, and vowed to “one day be a professional athlete.”

See for yourself how well Carrier achieved that goal, as he breaks concrete blocks, bends steel bars — both with his bear hands — among other feats of strength.

Carrier is 6-foot-4 and weighs 290 pounds. He bench-presses more than 500 pounds and, according to his Web site, “has broken 30 Louisville Slugger baseball bats in 44 seconds, a Guinness World Record.
