School Bus Routes, Stops, Driver Applications, Safety Tips

The Hillsborough County Schoool District, for the 2012-13 school year, online has posted bus stops, routes and times for students. The district also needs school bus drivers. Posted online as well are safety tips for getting to school safely.

 

Waiting for word in the mail what school bus stop to go to this year? Looking for a job that involves kids but doesn't take up the whole day? There's news for you, then, online at the Hillsborough County School District, with bus route information for the 2012-13 school year recently posted and a call-out for school bus drivers.

First off, for students:

  • Bus routes, while subject to change, have been posted for students enrolled at their attendance-area, "neighborhood" schools. Also, for the International Baccalaureate program at Robinson High School, and the South County and Simmons career centers.
  • Students attending schools of choice are eligible to ride the bus. Information for those bus routes and stops are posted on the school district's Web site, but under each school of choice.
  • Parents of students in exceptional student education (ESE) progrms will receive a call from their respective bus drivers before the start of school, Aug. 21.
  • Magnet school students and students at the D.W. Waters and Bowers-Whitley career centers will receive transportation badges and school bus route information in the mail. Or, you can call the school.

School Bus Rules For Parents

  • Parents are responsible for getting their child to and from the bus stop safely.
  • Please be sure to choose the bus stop closest to your home that provides the safest walk path.
  • Bus stops are for bus-eligible students only. Eligibility is determined based on the child’s home address on record at the school.
  • If you have moved, please make sure to update your address with your child’s school immediately.

  • Rate of pay per hour is $10.56 at a minimum of seven hours paid after a day of work.
