Wok Chi Raises Over $4,000.00 For The Brandon Sports And Aquatic Center

Wok Chi, the new fresh casual Chinese restaurant that recently opened in Regency Square in Brandon, Florida raised over $4,000.00 to benefit the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center’s Children’s Summer Camp programs.  Wok Chi presented the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center with the check on Thursday, June 27 at 9am at Wok Chi.

The money was raised as a part of Wok Chi’s Grand Opening and Green Tea Initiative.  The Grand Opening Celebration was held at the restaurant on May 11, and over 300 supporters of BSAC came to support the event.   The Wok Chi Green Tea Initiative focuses on sharing positive chi through community outreach programs, gardens, fundraisers and food drives.  The funds from last month’s event raised will be used to support children in need of financial assistance for summer camp and swim lessons. Over 40 children will now benefit from these funds.

“We are excited by the support of the Brandon community in our fundraising efforts for the Brandon Sports and Aquatic Center,” said Rahul Chaubal, vice president of Operations of Wok Chi. “The Center is the perfect fit for our concept and we look forward to working with them on future events to help continue their cause.”
