2013 Football: Brandon Loses, Armwood Postponed
Brandon drops a tough one to Riverview while heavy rain and lightning caused a postponed contest between the Armwood Hawks and Hillsborough Terriers.
The Brandon High School Eagles dropped a tough one to the Riverview Sharks in Riverview on Thursday, Sept. 12, while the Armwood Hawks, rained out, will travel to Hillsborough High School for action tonight, Sept. 13.
"Hard-fought game but a heartbreaker of a loss to Riverview, 28-21," reads the Facebook notice at Brandon Eagles Football. "Heads-up guys, the fans will support the team," reads a posted comment.
The game, whose start was delayed because of rain, featured quarterback Keisean Young running for three first-half scores for the Sharks, according to game coverage posted at Tampa Bay Times online. Young, a junior, reportedly "led with a game-high 209 yards on 20 carries."

Meanwhile, lightning and heavy rain called the Armwood-Hillsborough face-off. The game between the Armwood Hawks and Hillsborough Terriers has been rescheduled to Monday night, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m.
The Hawks face the Terriers, who are 0-1 in district play and 0-1 overall, having dropped a 28-23 loss to Jefferson on Sept. 6. Hillsborough's national rank is 2,005; its state rank, 126, according to MaxPreps.com.

The Hawks (1-0 in district play and 2-0 overall) are ranked 765 in the nation and 54 in the state, according to MaxPreps.com. The Hawks beat Durant, 48-6, on Aug. 30 and Blake, 32-6, on Sept. 6.
