5 Local Teams Score Big Friday Night, 2 Teams Shut Out

Armwood, Bloomingdale, Newsome, Plant City and Strawberry Crest win; Brandon and Durant were held scoreless. Riverview set to play today, Sept. 7.

Friday night lights burned bright for Eastern Hillsborough County teams, with Armwood, Bloomingdale, Newsome, Plant City and Strawberry Crest scoring a collective 142 points in their Sept. 6 wins. Together, the five teams gave up 39 points.

Rain and lightning caused some game delays, but for the Riverview Sharks, at home against the East Bay Indians, the foul weather caused the game to be rescheduled until today, Sept. 7.

Bloomingdale, on the road, over Brandon, 21-0
