Brandon Skate Park Then and Now

In recognition of Go Skateboarding Day on June 21, here's a look back in video at the Brandon Skate Park while under construction, at Providence Park East, and as revealed at its ribbon-cutting May 12, 2012.

 

The Brandon Skate Park at Providence Park East in Riverview celebrates its two-month anniversary June 21, which also happens to be national Go Skateboarding Day.

The park is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sundays from noon to 8 p.m.

The Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department owns and operates the park, which opened April 21 and had its ribbon-cutting celebration May 12. In celebration of the park's opening, admission to the park is free through at least the summer.
