See That Line At Dick's? It's Probably for Ammo

When the local sporting goods store opens on Fridays, there is usually a line of people waiting to get in.

If you have ever driven past the Dick's Sporting Goods store at Westfield Brandon on a Friday morning and spotted a line of people out front, they were probably all lined up for the same thing. They're likely all trying to get their hands on some bullets.

Dick's gets their ammo shipments on Fridays, and because of a year-long shortage of ammunition, local gun owners have to get their ammo by waiting in lines like this or face paying higher prices online or at gun shows, according to an article the Tampa Bay Times.

Plus, there is a limit to how many bullets anyone can buy at a time in most cases. At Dick's, "a sign at the gun counter limits customers to three boxes of rifle and pistol ammo and one box of bulk packs of 150 rounds or more," The Times reports.
