Rotary Checks Aid ECHO, A Kid's Place, Honor Flight and More

The Rotary Club of Brandon South's annual distribution of checks, with money raised at Lobstah' Fest and the Mad Hatter's Tea Party, aids 14 charities, including BSAC, Rotary's Camp Florida, the American Cancer Society and 4-H Foundation.

 

Each year Rotarians meeting at the Buckhorn Springs Golf & Country Club in Valrico get three votes each to cast for the charities they wish to support in the Greater Brandon area.

Each charity can get one vote, or one charity can get all three votes; it's up to the member to spend his votes as he or she sees fit. Then, each spring, the Rotary Club of Brandon South divvies out the money proportionately to those charities.
