ECHO at Cross Creek Ranch Features Baubles, BBQ & Bubbles

Barbecue, dessert, dancing and donations were all on the menu May 22 at Baubles, Barbeque and Bubbles, a fundraiser hosted by Brandon’s Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO).

The event was jointly presented by Cross Creek Ranch, which hosted the event, and Hungry Harry's Bar-B-Q, which catered the fundraiser. Stacey Efaw, ECHO’s executive director since 2002, told attendees there is no shortage of people who need help.

“We are seeing more and more of the working poor come to us," she said. "While there is help for those who are not working we are seeing people who are working who have to decide between fixing their car and feeding their family.”

Efaw added that ECHO’s role is more about logistics than anything else.

“We have no food or clothing shortage in America today," she said. "We just need to get it to those in need and that’s where ECHO comes in.”
