Charity Thrift Sale

The Emergency Care Help Organization, 507 N. Parsons Ave., Brandon, will host a charity thrift sale Saturday, Aug. 17 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

'Our Town' On Stage

The Valrico Village Players will present Thornton Wilder's classic Our Town, directed by Mike an Paula Spangler Klein, Friday, Aug. 16-17 at 8 p.m. at the James McCabe Theater, 506 5th St., Valrico. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students and military.

Food Truck Rally

Maru Diagnostic Imaging Services, 414 W. Robertson St., Brandon, will host a food truck rally Friday, Aug. 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. featuring Enjoi Sweets, Hott Mess, Tasty Stacy and Michelle Faedo’s On The Go.

Coin Show

The Brandon Coin Club will host a coin and currency show Saturday, Aug. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Brandon Elks Lodge, 800 Centennial Lodge Dr., Brandon. It will feature 30 dealers, appraisals, food, door prizes and a free coin grab bag for all children under 12.

Live Music

The Brass Tap, 775 Brandon Town Center, Brandon, hosts live music each Friday and Saturday starting at 9 p.m. The Eric T. Duo will perform Aug. 16 and Little Big Show will be on stage Aug. 17. 

Exchange Band On Stage

The Xchange Band, which has opened for the Outlaws, Devon Allman and played alongside Blue Oyster Cult, will perform Friday, Aug. 16 at 1:30 p.m. at O'Brien's Irish Pub, 701 W. Lumsden Rd., Brandon.

World Karaoke Championship

The Florida State Finals for the World Karaoke Championship will take place Saturday, Aug. 17 at O'Brien's Irish Pub, 701 W. Lumsden Rd., Brandon. Registration begins at 1 p.m. and the contest takes place at 2 p.m.
