Back To School With Confidence
Divine Individuals With Virtuous Attitudes (DIVA) will host a workshop titled "Going Back to School With Confidence" for girls age 6 to 16 Saturday, Aug. 3 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at HCC at The Regent, 6437 Watson Rd., Riverview.
Barnes & Noble, 122 Brandon Town Center Dr., Brandon, will host a story time featuring the children's book character Madeline Saturday, Aug. 3 at 4:30 p.m.
Fearnow Insurance, 11607 E. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Seffner, will host a community blood drive featuring food and drinks from local vendors, gift cards for local restaurants and T-shirts.
The Emergency Care Help Organization, 507 N. Parsons Ave., Brandon, will host a charity thrift sale Saturday, Aug. 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Pro Martial Arts, 119 W. Bloomingdale Ave., Brandon, will host a grand opening and family fun day Saturday, Aug. 3 at 10 a.m. The event will include free martial arts lessons, free pizza and a food drive for the Emergency Care Help Organization.
Families visiting Westfield Brandon Sunday, Aug. 4 will embark on an exciting mission led by The Octonauts Captain Barnacles Bear, Lieutenant Kwazii Cat and Doctor Peso Penguin.
The team of adventure heroes dives into action whenever there is trouble under the sea with a fleet of aquatic vehicles. The Octonauts will perform at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 in the Dick’s Sporting Goods Court.
