Labor Day 2012: What’s Closed, What’s Open in Hillsborough County
Laborers, your day off is here. Keep in mind that lots of government employees have the day off too, which means lots of services you have come to depend on might not be in service today. Here's a list to review.
The majority of Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3, in observance of Labor Day. Among the facilities that will be closed are the administrative offices of county government, neighborhood service centers, all libraries, all county-operated Head Start/Early Head Start Centers, senior centers and nutrition sites. Animal Services Animal Services’ shelter is regularly closed on Mondays. A limited number of personnel will be on call for animal emergencies; call 813-744-5660 for assistance. Constitutional Officers Offices of the Property Appraiser, Tax Collector and Supervisor of Elections will be closed Monday, Sept. 3, as well as offices of the Clerk of the Circuit Court and court facilities. …
