Brandon-Armwood Football Game Pushed Back By RNC
Aug. 31 games for all Hillsborough County schools are being moved to Saturday, Sept. 1 because of security issues and the Republican National Convention.
The Friday night lights will have to move to Saturday for a weekend in August thanks to the Republican National Convention. All high school football games in Hillsborough County scheduled for Friday, Aug. 31 will be pushed back a day when the RNC comes to Tampa, the school district announced. That means the following games will be played at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 1: The RNC will be in town from Aug. 27-30, and the district announced in June it would not hold any sporting events that week.
