'Art Rocks' for Center Place (PHOTOS)
The 28th Annual Arts Gala of Center Place at the T. Pepin Hospitality Centre features performances by "American Idol" contestant Jeremy Rosado. Awarded were the Patricia B. Odiorne Scholarship and the S.L. "Spud" Clements and First Annual C.A.R.E. awards.
It was a casual, dress-down-in-jeans, fundraising affair for the Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association at the T. Pepin Hospitality Centre in Tampa on April 28. Some 250 people convened to bear tribute to a center that for decades in Brandon has offered arts programs for adults and childen as well as a place to meet for civic, cultural, charitable and family affairs. This year's gala, as in year's past, is an opportunity as well to present annual awards, including the Patricia B. Odiorne Scholarship winner and the S.L. "Spud" Clements Award recipient.
