Plant City Man Arrested in Robbery at Hess Express in Dover
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man allegedly caught on surveillance video robbing the Hess Express in Dover, at 12877 East U.S. Highway 92.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a man who allegedly robbed the Hess Express in Dover, at 12877 East U.S. Highway 92. Arrested is Michael Dean Croft, 41, 908 North Ferrell St., Plant City. Croft faces a charge of robbery. The robbery reportedly took place Oct. 6, at about 7:39 p.m., when Croft allegedly entered the Hess Express and asked the store clerk for change. After the clerk opened the cash register, "the suspect reached into the register draw, placing the clerk in fear, and removed an undisclosed amount” of money, "then fled the scene on foot," according to the sheriff's report.
