GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview May 24-26

With a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants in the area, there's no reason to spend the weekend at home. Here's a list of fun things to do in the Brandon area.

Bay Life Car and Craft Show Bay Life Church, 1017 Kingsway Rd., Brandon, will host its eighth annual car and craft show Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free event opens with color guard from the Newsome High School JROTC, then the National Anthem sung live. There will be live music throughout the event and those attending will see more than 300 muscle, sports, foreign, drag-racing and classic cars. There also will be 35 craft vendors, activities for the kids, food and drinks. All proceeds go to Bay Life youth missions…

For $15, attendees will be able to sample soups from a variety of local restaurants to raise funds for the Brandon Emergency Care Help Organization, a nonprofit that provides food and clothing to residents facing emergency needs.
