Winners of the 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival's Grand Parade have been announced by Berry Fine Productions, the host of the March 6 event, which was sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. First, some facts: The parade in 2011 was turned over to the independent Berry Fine Productions, as decided by the Florida Strawberry Festival's board of directors. This year's grand marshal was Ray Clark, who reportedly "touched the lives of many in the Plant City area." Jeannie Elliott held no expectations for the Florida Strawberry Festival when she moved to Plant City from St. Louis. What she soon discovered, she said, after attending her first festival three years ago, "is that it was an added bonus on top of an already wonderful living environment." Elliott made her remarks March 5, before the start of the 2012 Florida Strawberry Festival's Grand Parade.
